Two store clerks will spend six months in jail and one will remain on house arrest for two years after playing practical jokes on unsuspecting customers. Anthony Mesa and another clerk, who work in a Deland convenience store, urinated in a Mountain Dew bottle and put it back in the refrigerator for sale. They also put eggs in beer cartons.

Efforts to stop construction of a nuclear power station has led a Taiwanese conservation group to stage a nude protest. The protest, called "Rather Nude than Nuke," will be set on Monday at the plant location at Funlung beach in northern Keelung county. "We demand the government stop building the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant to preserve the Fulung beach," said Ho Tsung-hsun, secretary general of the Taiwan Enviromental Protection Union.

A convenience store clerk in Florida is facing prison time after a nasty practical joke. Anthony Mesa urinated in a bottle of Mountain Dew, which a customer later drank. Now Mesa faces six months in jail, after pleading no contest in court.

To let the students study for exams, Shanghai will ban construction work during late night hours for the next 18 days. According to the Shanghai Daily, it also plans to stop construction work at all sites within 100 meters (328 feet) of an exam hall during exam days from June 7-9 and June 17-18.
