When looking for authentic art pieces, a wholesale warehouse, may not be your first thought. However according to reports, Costco claims to not only sell fine art at prices that are 40 percent less than galleries', it also claims that all of the pieces are genuine.

Costco.com started selling fine art three years ago, selling hundreds of pieces including two by Pablo Picasso, according to CBS news.

The report notes that in 2004, San Francisco resident Frank Zhang paid $37,000 for the work, and it's been hanging in his home for two years. Recently, however, Zhang learned it could be fake after he heard that a second piece that sold to a Newport Beach man turned out to be a copy.

CBS news notes that Picasso's daughter Maya Widmaier-Picasso says Zhang's is, too. Costco has offered to buy back Zhang's drawing. Zhang has offered to travel Paris to have Widmaier-Picasso view it in person.
