Fighting to the death was a real possibility for a couple in Mexico who sparred until their house blew up from a homemade gasoline bomb.

Reuters, citing Milenio newspaper, reports that Juan Espinosa and Irma Contreras fired guns, threw knives and threw homemade bombs.

Police arrived to the couple's home in Oxkutzcab in the southeastern state of Yucatan, and arrested Espinosa. Contreras suffered third-degree burns and was taken to the hospital.

Espinosa tells local media he is happy that his wife was burned. Contreras says she is only sorry for not having "hacked off his manhood" during their quarrel.
