The closure of Interstate 95 for two days caused huge traffic congestion for a two mile stretch. The north east corridor was ordered to close down for emergency repairs. The closure affected both the northbound and the southbound lanes of the highway north of the city's central business district. Gene Blaum, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesman told the Associated Press, "Obviously we feel it could compromise the strength of that section of the highway. The section of the interstate carries about 190. 000 vehicles a day, making the repair a major undertaking"

A 62-year-old grandmother was arrested by Broward County deputies after she was caught possessing cocaine stuffed inside her bra during a raid inside her residence in Oakland Park, Fla. Arrested was Henrietta Corvin Daise, and eight others, many of them her grandchildren.

Couple Find $12,000 In Apartment Refrigerator

A couple that recently moved in to an apartment were in for a surprise upon discovering about $12,000 in cash inside the refrigerator. Colleen Mesler, 65, said that she found the bills in the freezer, when her husband Jim asked her to throw the tray out. The cash was seen deteriorating and covered with mold, and wrapped in tin foil.

New York Deck Trusses Are Certified Safe By Task Force

The state Bridge Task Force released a report on Wednesday asserting that New York's 49 deck trusses are safe for traveling. The report also confirmed that the bridge inspection procedures that are in place at the moment are adequate. The mass inspection was ordered by New York governor Eliot Spitzer following the collapse of a Minneapolis deck truss bridge in August.

Woman Calls Police To Complain About "Fake" Cocaine

Police in Rochelle, Georgia were surprised to receive a call from a woman who asked them to help "get her money back" because she was not satisfied with the quality of the crack cocaine she purchased. A 53-year-old woman was arrested late Thursday night after she called up police to inform about her purchase of a $20 piece of what she considered crack cocaine.
