A British driver attempts to get out of paying a speeding ticket by changing road signs. Reuters reports a speed camera caught John Hopwood, 44, driving faster than the 30 miles per hour limit.

In what has become the most bizarre mishap in jury duty history, 4-year-old Beatrice Ball, has been sent a letter to attend a trial at Bristol Crown Court in Bristol, England. Beatrice's mother Sam said: "She found it hilarious. Beatrice is bright for her age but this is ridiculous.

A British man admits to pretending to be the infamous Yorkshire Ripper in the 1970s. John Humble says he wrote letters and made a tape during the Ripper murders, which was sent to police. The notorious hoaxer became known as Wearside Jack.

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi plans to introduce a bill to parliament that would allow women to take the throne. Existing rules that permit only men to become emperors are proving problematic for the royal family as no boys have been born into the imperial family for 40 years, reports BBC News.

Actress and Oscar winner Renee Zellweger can now add her name to a list of notoriously famous people who have outlived their short-lived marriages. Zellweger joins the likes of stars such as Lisa Marie Presley, Drew Barrymore, and Jennifer Lopez, all of who didn't have much luck in the marriage department. Of most recently, Britney Spears held the crown as queen of quickie marriages, marrying childhood friend Jasen Alexander in an impromptu marriage in Las Vegas in January 2004. Their marriage lasted only 55 hours.
