For the first time ever, Greenville County in South Carolina will officially observe the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Monday. The county is last in the state to do so. Officials voted last year, after pushing by Rev. Jesse Jackson for years and years, to observe the holiday. This gives employees a paid holiday to observe the third Monday in January.
