A Florida man allegedly tried to attack his fellow motorist with deer antlers following a road rage incident. The man responded by smashing his vehicle into the attacker's car and the brawl apparently ended after the latter pulled out his handgun and fired a shot into the vehicle.

Both Ronny White, 35, and Keith Ransford, 23, were booked at the St. Lucie County jail over aggravated assault charges.

According to a St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office report, the incident happened on Thursday when White and Ransford allegedly got into an altercation while driving along U.S. 1.

"They got into a first altercation and the one guy tries to attack the second guy with deer antlers," sheriff's Sgt. Andy McIntosh told the AP. "It's not an everyday occurrence."

McIntosh said that neither men suffered serious injuries in the incident and that officials were investigating the case.

Both White and Ransford were freed on bond, he said.
