The aptly named Archery Park here has suddenly banned bows and arrows, shocking visitors and park regulars. One visitor expressed shock and incredulity when he read a warning that a city ordinance had prohibited bows and arrows in the park.

Unsuccessful Deer Hunters Choose To "Hunt" Cows Instead

Frustrated that they hadn't shot any deer during the archery deer hunt, two teenagers in Orem, Utah, have admitted to hunting nine cows last month. Utah Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officer Paul Davis said in a statement the boys, whose names have not been released, confessed to shooting the cows repeatedly with arrows over a two-week period.

Deer Takes Revenge On A Woman In Race

A 28-year-old woman from Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, who has a history of run-ins with deer, was surprised this weekend when a deer took his revenge and struck back at her while she participated in a race. Kandi Hanson, who destroyed her first car and damaged two others in collisions with deer, was struck by a spooked deer that darted out of the woods as she approached the halfway mark of the 10-kilometer Sour Grapes Half and Half run Saturday.

11-Year-Old Allegedly Shoots Rival To "Hogzilla"

An eleven year old boy from Alabama has killed what may possibly be a record-setting wild boar. Jamison Stone has killed a "monster pig" using a . 50 caliber revolver, an animal his father claims weighs nearly 250 pounds heavier than the famed wild hog "Hogzilla" that that was shot and killed in Alapaha, Georgia. According to the examiners, Hogzilla, which was originally thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet long, actually weighed only 800 lbs. and was just 8 feet long. The hunt however gained so much media attention that an independent film maker planned to make it into a movie titled "The Legend of Hogzilla. " As it stands, the hunt comes as no less than an accomplishment to Jamison who killed his first deer at age 5, according to the AP reports. Jamison said he chased the hog for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot. Stone, who has also bagged a role in the horror flick "The Legend of Hogzilla," however says he still prefers hunting pheasants to monster pigs.

Police Confused Over Discovery Of Dead Fawn In Infant's Clothes

Police in Tacoma, Washington were surprised to find a dead fawn dressed in infant's clothes that also had a bib attached to its body reading, "You think I'm cute? You should see my aunt. " The Washington police are confused as to why anyone would dress a dead newborn deer in an infant sleeper, lay it in a basket and leave it outside an important building in the city on Tuesday.
