A man living in up-state New York was killed when his pet deer attacked him. Ronald Donah, 43 was found by police on Sunday and later died after being taken to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. Police did not release details of Donah's injuries or what may have prompted the attack.

A weary young golden eagle, a species rarely seen in Wisconsin, was nursed back to full strength and returned to the wild Friday. The young bird was spotted feeding on a deer carcass Oct. 22 at the Sheboygan Marsh Park and Wildlife Area. It was surprised by the sudden appearance of the human, Shawn Forrest, who saw it, CNN reported Friday.

Italian hunters are angry over accusations they are trying to kill "Bambi" and have called a strike on the day they are to begin culling hundreds of deer. Authorities in Piedmont say deer overpopulation threatens the public because they stray into roads and cause car accidents. The regional government had said it would conduct a "selective cull" of 600 animals in 2006, but protests over the announcement caused it to reconsider the plan.

A family was temporarily displaced after a deer ran into their home and startled the family. Officials are describing the incident as a bizarre occurrence. According to police, a deer who was apparently spooked by some dogs that were let out of the kennel, went into the apartment because it was trying to get away from some kids outside.
