Taiwan's version of a "super toilet," which uses even less water for flushing than regular water-saving toilets, will hit U. S. stores early next year. The super toilet developed by Chen Wei-lung, an assistant professor at Chaoyang University of Technology's Department of Industrial Design, with help from the local industry, can flush 99 percent of 100 resin balls with only four liters of water during tests. The industry standard is 95 percent flushing efficiency.

Saying it could be offensive to Muslims, a government organization rejected a digital video based on the Three Little Pigs. The video, entitled 'The Three Little Cowboy Builders', was criticized by the education technology agency, Becta, saying "the use of pigs raises cultural issues".

Using improvised props and set design, a group of friends has transformed their garage into a film studio to recreate two Star Wars films. The group used household objects as scenery, toys as props and PC wizardry to recreate the special effects to produce spoof of two Star Wars movies, calling them The Empire Strikes Backyard and Star Wars - The Emperor's New Clones.

The village of Obereichstaett in Bavaria is building a foot-high wall around its boundary to keep out millipedes, which has been coming by the thousands every autumn for centuries. Local residents say the scene of the unwelcome invaders which fill up their streets, gardens and homes, is reminiscent of a horror film.

China has begun work on what will be the world's largest Ferris wheel at Chaoyang Park in east Beijing. The $99 million and 682 feet high Great Wheel of China is expected to have 48 fully air-conditioned compartments that can accommodate 40 people each and will hold a total of 1920 passengers at a time.
