A Lutheran church pastor is trying to shake things up during his sermons by talking about sex.

Tim Kade, pastor of Epic Church in Detroit said he's had enough with long boring sermons and promises to discuss topics relevant to his congregation's lives. The most prominent topic is sex -- when and where to do it and who to do it with.

Some sermon topics -- listed on the church's website, www.epicwired.com -- include "The Greatest Sex You'll Ever Have", "The Bedroom: Battleground or Playground", and "Porn: What's the Big Deal?"

In a recent statement Kade, 40, said, "Sex wasn't invented in a dark alley behind a porn shop. Its part of God's design and the Bible is very open and frank about sexual matters. No matter what your situation may be, we are looking to give straight answers and practical advice that can be used in our everyday lives."

Area churches are not happy with Kade's new spin on marriage counseling. The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's English district has received many e-mails and phone calls saying Kade's sermons and Epic's website are too sexual.

Bishop David Stechholz, district president said, "He's trying to do an important thing. He wants to bring about a thorough discussion on sexual intimacy from God's point of view."
