FDA Approves Drug For Obese Dogs

The Food and Drug Administration has approved a drug made by Pfizer to aid the weight management of obese dogs.

Pfizer will release the liquid formula Slentrol for around 5 percent of U.S. dogs that are 20 percent beyond the ideal weight.

Indian State Markets Camel Milk To Lure Health Conscious Customers

Camel breeders in the Indian state of Rajasthan have found an alternative way to tackle the declining fortunes from tourism. Citing the low-calorie content in the milk from the desert animal, a non-government organization has launched a project under which camel's milk is marketed to hotels and tourists visiting historic palaces and desert towns.

The Food and Agriculture Organization says camel milk has vitamin C content three times higher than cow's milk. It is also rich in iron, unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin B.

Tom Coughlin, former Vice Chairman for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will only serve 27 months of home confinement, despite facing up to 28 years in jail for his crimes.

Driver Gets Kidney For Tip

A Chicago limousine driver, Abdul Faraj, has received a priceless tip from one of his regular costumers. Faraj was offered a kidney by Dave Baker, a Minnesota businessman, at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

For several years, Baker had used Faraj as his driver when traveling to Chicago. When Baker got wind of Faraj's health situation, he tried to locate a kidney donor in the Lebanese limo driver's blood group.
