British Royal Weddings' Memorabilia Goes On Display

Private letters and mementos giving a rare behind-the-scenes look at royal British weddings have gone public at Windsor Castle. The items on display include extracts from Queen Victoria's journal written shortly before her 1840 marriage to Prince Albert, in which she describes him as "excessively handsome. "The journals are part of a collection put together to mark the diamond anniversary of Britain's Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

Man Swallows Diamond Ring Along With Its Tag

Police in Dandre Turk's jail cell in Canton, Ohio discovered a diamond ring worth $30,000 from a toilet after they suspected a man of swallowing it. Four men from 18 to 22 years of age from Detroit were charged Wednesday for robbery in a jewelry store near Canton. The police had to keep a close watch on their movements after they believed one of them could have swallowed the two-carat diamond ring.

Peeping Tom Ordered To Wear Fluorescent Jacket At Night

In the first order by a British court of its kind, a 24-year-old man has been ordered to wear a fluorescent jacket when he ventures out at night. The man, Stephen Cooper, pleaded guilty to voyeurism in a British court after he confessed to peeking into a woman's window on the night of Jan. 11. Judge Peter Dedman of the Southend Crown Court ordered him to wear a jacket until his final sentencing in May.

German Court Hears Mother-Daughter Row Over Turning Ashes To Diamond

Diamonds are forever and what could be better than turning the remains of a loved one into one, says a daughter who wants to keep the memories of her father. However, her mother contends and wants the cremated ashes of her husband to be traditionally buried in a cemetery. The dispute between the two women has escalated so much that now they want the court to decide what should be done, the AFP reports.

California Prisoner Swallows $25,000 Diamond To Hide It

A diamond worth $25,000 was found stuck in a shower drain at a California prison. A prisoner there is suspected of stealing the two carat colorless diamond two years ago. Bret Allen Langford, 39, is accused of asking the owner of a jewelry store to show him the diamond in April 2005 and then sped away. Police arrested Langford, but never found the diamond.
