Man Finds Canary Diamond at Park

A Wisconsin man visiting an Arkansas state park found a 5. 47-carat canary diamond. The park, Crater of Diamonds State Park, is the only publicly operated diamond site where visitors can look for their own gems. Bob Wehle of Ripon, WI, found the diamond October 14. It's bright yellow and has no visible flaws. It is the second-largest gem unearthed this year at the park.

After her husband said she would not have any luck gem hunting, a Tennessee woman discovered a 1. 30-carat diamond in Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park - the world's only publicly operated diamond site where regardless of their value, the public is allowed to search and keep any gems found. Melissa Lacey of Knoxville said, "I wasn't expecting to find anything and was just picking up pretty rocks. "
