21-Foot Great White Shark Spotted In Popular Australian Lake

A small seaside community is for a 21 ft. great white shark swimming in the local lake. A fisherman netted the shark in Tuggerah Lake, which opens to the Pacific Ocean 60 miles north of Sydney, but when he realized the shark was bigger than his 18-foot boat he let it go.

Sean William, 10 pounds, 14 ounces, and Abigail Rose, 12 pounds, 3 ounces were born at Forsyth Medical Center's Sara Lee Center for Women's Health here. The twins, with a combined weight of 23 pounds, 1 ounce, may claim the title of the heaviest set of twins ever born in North Carolina.

The twins, delivered by Cesarean section two minutes apart, were born to Joey and Erin Maynard and are both in excellent health. The scale-topping twins may also turn out to be the second heaviest set of twins born in the entire U. S. in the last century.

Diet Coach Polices LA Cops' Eating Habits

In an attempt to help overweight officers get back in shape, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has hired a full-time diet coach to chalk out special diet plans for them. Rana Parker, who joined the force in July, was working as a diet coach at Head Start, the federal aid program for children. Now she will target recruits and help instill in them good eating habits and finding time for balanced meals.

New Zealander Sets World Record By Shearing 560 Sheep In 8 Hours

immy Clark, a New Zealander from Blackmount, set a new world record by shearing 560 sheep in just eight hours; beating the previous record of 495 sheep by Hayden Te Huia, set in 1999. The record-breaking feat happened on January 23 at the Wairaki Station near Blackmount. 30-year-old Clark's average was one sheep sheared for every 51. 43 seconds. Members of the World Sheeping Shearing Records Society attended the event.
