A recent survey done on elementary school students revealed that about one-third of the population thought that Sir Winston Churchill was the first man on the moon, instead of NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong. The survey, gathering a number of 1,400 students aged 4 to 10, was commissioned by the Royal Astronomical Society, in conjunction with Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

A man found unresponsive Tuesday after a ride on a Disney World roller coaster was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Jeffrey Reed, 44, a resident of Navarre, Florida was pulled from the Expedition Everest ride at Disney World's Animal Kingdom, and taken by Reedy Creek Emergency Services to Celebration Hospital, where he was administered with CPR and later died. Officials said there were no visible signs of trauma or injury. Authorities discovered that Reed was apparently still conscious about 50 seconds before the end of the ride, as shown by a photograph automatically taken before the end of the ride, and as the coaster approached the loading area.

Two turkeys have been released from a possible death sentence, thanks to the unconditional pardon given by President Bush himself. The distribution of the pardon for the two fowls was done during the 60th annual pardoning ceremony of the National Thanksgiving Turkey, in which the White House saves at least one bird from the blade of the axe.

Two demonstrators who carried banners protesting unjust labor practices by Walt Disney during a parade at Disneyland in Hong Kong were arrested. Hong Kong police spokeswoman Celia Tam identified the two suspects by last name, Yau and Lai, and said they had disrupted the parade and fought with park workers who tried to stop them. Their banners said "Disney exploits Chinese labor. "
