A California election race is heating up between a former husband and wife.

Leah Berlanga says her ex-husband, Frank Berlanga, is only running for a council seat to "harass" her.

In a press conference outside City Hall, Leah says, "I'm not going to let somebody intimidate me," adding, "This will be the rockiest race that we have ever witnessed."

According to the Associated Press, the former couple, who have a teenage son and 11-year-old daughter, were separated in 2004 and divorced in June.
