A doctor charged with stealing the hand of a cadaver and passing it on to an exotic dancer has denied the charges.
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey graduate Ahmed Rashed, 26, is out on $1,000 bail.
Linda Kay, a dancer, was found to be in possession of a hand in a jar of formaldehyde.
Friends said she called the hand in her bedroom, "Freddy."
The police had stumbled upon the hand with six human skulls at Kay's residence after checking out a report of a suicidal roommate.
Kay, 31, has denied charges of illegal disposal of human remains.
Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Judson Hamlin said that the left hand was taken in May or June 2002.
If found guilty Rashed could face up to 10 years in prison.
