Indian Calf Eats Chickens

A farmer in eastern India has a 1-year-old calf that eats his chickens. The local veterinarian has never heard of meat-eating cows and doesn't know what to make of it, but some locals have a theory that the cow was a tiger in his previous life. According to AP, the cow's owner, Ajit Ghosh, said that at first he thought that jackals were eating his poultry. One morning he got up very early to find out what was going on.

Mexico Man Looks To Make History With Chilies

Manuel Quiroz of Mexico can take a lot of heat. Quiroz can eat a dozen of Mexico's spiciest chilies like it is nothing. Quiroz rubs the chilies on his face and squeezes their juice into his mouth without hesitation. Quiroz is a 54-year-old taxi cab driver and has stated that he has made thousands of dollars with his tolerance for heat and he hopes to become the world champion chili eater.

Whitetail Deer Crosses Paths With A Doctor On Ski Trail Resulting In Collision

In the first incident of its kind, a doctor skiing down the Haulback Trail at Sugarloaf, was hit by something very unusual - a deer. A whitetail deer attempting to cross the trail crossed paths with Dr. Ray Stone, while making a turn, resulting with both of them falling to the ground. Stone, a family practice doctor who lives in New Gloucester and works at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston said he was utterly confused last month after being knocked-off completely while skiing.

Woman Chooses Early Labor So Husband Can Attend Bears Game

An Illinois woman chose to go for early labor, two days before her due date, so that her "Chicago Bears" besotted husband could watch them play against the "New Orleans Saints" during Sunday's NFC Championship game. Colleen Pavelka, 28, said her decision to induce early labor was out of her fear of going into labor during the game, that might have resulted in Mark, her husband, missing out on the game. "I thought, how could (Mark) miss this one opportunity that he might never have again in his life?," AP quoted the 28-year-old Pavelka as saying.

"TomKat" and "Brangelina" Included In List Of Banished Words

Lake Superior State University on Sunday released its annual "List of Words and Phrases Banished from the Queen's English for Mis-Use, Over-Use and General Uselessness. " The words included "gone missing," "ask your doctor" and many celebrity combined names such as "TomKat" or "Brangelina. "The list has reportedly been compiled since 1976 to attract publicity by the Sault Ste. Marie school in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. A total of 16 words or phrases were selected by a university committee from more than 4,500 nominations.
