Bao Xishun might not have imagined that his height could bring him something else other than world fame. The 7-foot-9-inch herdsman from Inner Mongolia has been credited with saving the lives of two dolphins, which got sick after swallowing some plastic at an ocean aquarium in northeast China. According to the local news media, veterinarians attempted to surgically remove the plastic but the contraction of the dolphins' stomachs in response to the surgical instruments rendered their task impossible.

A German man has filed charges against his doctor after he was circumcised against his will and is asking for cash to rebuild his foreskin. Fifty-year-old Karl Spandl from Bonn, Germany was rushed to the Troisdorf Hospital for treatment after a painful abscess developed on his penis.

A Pennsylvania man angry with the results of a penile enlargement surgery tried to get revenge on his surgeon by mailing him a bomb. Blake Steidler of Reamstown pleaded guilty to the use of a weapon of mass destruction and other charges in April, 2005. According to court documents, Steidler, 26, underwent went penile enhancement surgery at a Chicago clinic in January 2004. Steidler said he experienced complications from the surgery and asked the surgeon for a refund. But when the surgeon denied, Steidler mailed the bomb.

The Federal Court in Germany has found a German doctor responsible and he has been ordered to provide child support to his patient, who conceived while using a contraceptive implant the doctor had inserted. The precedent-setting ruling gives both parents, who are not married, the right to receive monthly child support amounting to $756 until their son reaches the age of majority.

A Scottish island with a population of just 15 residents has placed an ad to recruit two new families to take up residency there. The loneliest schoolgirl in Britain, nine-year-old Caroline MacKinnon, hopes a family with children will be chosen, as being the sole student in the island of Canna's schoolhouse is not much fun.
