Vets operated on a dog expecting to find a tumor removed a pile of clothes.

Bailey, a golden retriever, had eaten two golf gloves, two rugby gloves, one mitten, one stocking and nine socks.

The dog had been eating the clothing for years, and the vet who removed it all said pulling them out was like performing a magic trick, England's The Daily Telegraph reported.

Bailey's owner, Nicola Perrett, got a call from the vet saying they thought he had a tumor after she brought him in for an annual check up. Doctors called later to tell her they didn't find a tumor in Bailey, but 17 clothing objects, including a piece of towel.

As for the rugby gloves, her son Jack said they'd been missing for at least two years.

"It is amazing that he was not more unwell or sick but was still eating his food," veterinarian Keith Moore from the Hillside Veterinary Center told the Telegraph. "Vets obviously do a fair number of foreign object removals, but I doubt I will ever see anything like this again in my career."
