After being named the hot dog king, 23-year-old Joey Chestnut proved Sunday that he is also hungry for hamburgers. Chestnut gobbled down 103 small hamburgers in just eight minutes, going home not only with a full stomach but also $10,000 richer. More importantly, he set a new world record.

Sixty eight villagers were hospitalized after eating a dog which had been killed by a disease in northern Namibia, the local newspaper The Namibian reported Wednesday. After contracting an unknown disease, the dog's owner ordered for it to be killed and its carcass burned.

After catching a burglar near their house last Friday, Jeffrey Stephens decided to sit on him while waiting for the police to arrive. Stephens reportedly caught the burglar at a neighbor's house, going through the house owner's van at around 3:30 a. m.

An elderly couple got back their kidnapped German Shepherd, Aldo, Friday after Columbian police thwarted $350,000 ransom payment in a sting operation. The four-year-old pure bred, owned by a wealthy retired couple, was kidnapped on September 18 after their house was broken into. Aldo was tranquilized before being taken away in a bag.

A dog saved the life of a Greenville man when he woke him up just in time for him to call emergency rescue, after a fire broke out. Roland Cote, whose wife and 7-year-old grandson were away when the blaze started early Sunday in a converted two-story garage, told police investigators that Thumper, his black Labrador retriever grabbed him by the arm to wake him, leaving just enough time for him to dial 911 before fleeing the fast-moving fire.
