A scuffle over prey between a Bulgarian hunter and his hound ends with the dog shooting the man. The dog's paw caught the trigger and the hunter was hit with the blast. The extent of his injuries was not reported, but local media say the dog injured a paw.

A 40-year old man was about to jump off a 33-foot bridge in the city of Kuala Lumpur after losing his job and suffering from depression, but one thing stopped him from jumping. . . his dog. Police told the man his dog would die from suffocation because it was locked inside his car with the windows up. This drove the man to tears and made him come down off the bridge to save his and the dog's life.

A Connecticut woman is charged Tuesday with risk of injury to a minor for allegedly leaving her 15-month-old grandson unattended in her home while taking her dog on an errand. Police say Loretta McGill-White, 48, left the toddler unattended in a crib. She did not return home until about 40 minutes after police and state child welfare officials arrived at her home.
