Pamplona Running Of the Bulls Leaves One Dead, 13 Injured, None Attributed To Bulls

One person died and dozens of spectators were injured during Sunday's opening ceremony and Monday's running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Although six bulls were turned loose to rampage down Pamplona's narrow streets, most spectators were injured due to falls.

The death of an Irish spectator was attributed to falling from where he was sitting on a wall.

Florida Football Coach Meyer To Give A Scholarship To Student Who Can Outrun His Alligator

Florida football coach Urban Meyer went out searching for the fastest student on campus and if one of those finalists can beat one of his Gators in the 40-yard dash on Saturday then a full scholarship is waiting.

Approximately 225 students took Meyer up on the offer. The numbers have been whittled down to the fastest 15 finalists.

Man In Wheelchair Robs California Bank

Local authorities reported that a bank in the town's shopping center was held up Thursday by an old man in a wheelchair.

Reports say that the suspect was an elderly white male, between 65 and 70 years old, has grey hair and was sporting a beard. He was immobilized, police said, as he was seen with bandaged legs, with one in a cast.

Christmas Postcard Finally Arrives In Kansas 93 Years Late

Postal officials don't know why a Christmas card dated Dec. 23, 1914 just arrived in northwest Kansas. They are puzzled over where the card has been and what delayed the card mailed from Alma Nebraska with insufficient postage and found somewhere in Illinois.

The postcard features a colored drawing of Santa Claus and was mailed by cousins to Ethel Martin of Oberlin, Kansas who is now dead. The Oberlin Postmaster Steve Schultz wanted the card to reach Martin's relatives.

Four Japanese "War Orphans" From China Visit Their Homeland

Four war-displaced Japanese who were living in China after the World War II have finally arrived home on Monday. The three men and one woman were recognized by the Japanese and Chinese governments as "war orphans" Zhao Ji, 65, Li Fengchao, 65, Liu Guoxin, 66, and Chen Fenglan, 67, will visit Japan; there is no word on if they will stay.

An appointment was made with Liu and his possible half brother in Ibaraki on Wednesday. "I want to hear about my father and myself," said Liu. "I would like to visit my father's grave and Miyagi Prefecture, where my roots are."
