The Dutch national collection, along with five museums, are turning to eBay to auction off 1,000 paintings, statues and other items no longer wanted. However, the online fire sale is drawing the ire of some artists. The Institute Collection Netherlands (ICN) says the auction, to be held until October is the first of such magnitude. The goal is to find a new home for artwork the museums say are "artistic merit and historic significance. "

An Iowa man was on cloud nine when he discovered that he's the "idiot" who hasn't claimed an $800,000 Powerball lottery prize. According to Iowa Lottery staffers, Ed O'Neill of Clinton had purchased the ticket for a Jan. 6 Powerball drawing but didn't think it necessary to check the results until a co-worker pointed out an article in the local newspaper which mentioned of a person who had failed to claim a hefty Powerball lottery prize. O'Neill, 58, who works for the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, said he was talking to a receptionist at the Chamber who cursorily showed him an article saying, "'Read this article about the idiot that hasn't claimed his ticket. '"

A tattoo artist from Argentina is facing a lawsuit after drawing a penis on the back of an Argentinean football fan instead of his favorite team's official logo. Reports said the teenager approached the tattoo artist and asked him to tattoo the logo of the Boca Junior football team on his back.

Kirk Heldreth's dairy farm is drawing residents with the birth of a calf with two faces. The animal is normal apart from its unusually large head that contains two noses and has two tongues that move separately. The calf was born on Dec. 27 at Heldreth Dairy Farm. "It's the craziest thing I've ever seen," the dairyman said.

A surfing dog in Brazil has attracted so much attention that police had to be called in to remove him and his owner because "they were drawing more attraction than the actual competition. " The dog and his owner, Caruzo Mozart Volff, surfed together on the same surfboard during the intervals of the 2006 Surf World Championship held at the Praia da Tiririca in Brazil.
