Following a successful event in 2005, a New York author is seeking 10 unmarried couples with kids who want to tie the knot on "Marry Your Baby Daddy Day. " The event is held by Maryann Reid, a writer and relationship adviser who lives in Brooklyn. The 2005 event was a huge success with all 10 couples still married and the new event is scheduled to take place Sept. 27, where the contributors would dress up the prospective bride and groom in free designer gowns.

New research reveals that women take greater care over their appearance when they are at peak levels of monthly fertility. The research, published in the forthcoming issue of a British journal, suggests that a genetic drive prompts women with high fertility to feel attracted to men other than their primary partners. Researchers at the University of California worked with a group of 30 women aged 18 to 37. Full-body photographs of each volunteer were taken during various phases of their ovulation cycle. One picture was taken when the woman was close to ovulation and highly fertile, and the other at a point of low fertility in the menstrual cycle.

A man who shot his own pet dog in the head has been offered to wear a pup costume to reduce his jail time. Under the proposal handed out by Municipal Judge Michael Cicconetti, the man could reduce his jail time by 10 days provided that he should wear the pup costume and visit the five elementary schools in Painesville. Robert M. Clark was initially sentenced to 180 days in jail for shooting his Great Dane. Cicconetti, known for his creative sentences, offered Clark to suspend 150 days of his sentencing if Clark pays the Lake County Human Society for the dog's veterinarian bills.

"Would you like fries with that?" is not a question usually associated with fashion, but it was on Wednesday in New York when singer Kelis modeled a dress for fast food chain McDonalds made out of their Arch Card. The Grammy nominated singer, whose breakthrough single was an appropriately titled hit "Milkshake", was appearing at the "Load It, Gift It, Love It" fashion experience hosted by the restaurant.
