According to an AP report, author and motivational speaker, Cindy Cashman and her airline pilot fiancé want to get married in space. Cashman has received backing from the Rocketplane Kistler company based in Oklahoma. This company hopes to offer commercial space flights to the public within a couple of years.

On July 11, Allen-Edmonds Shoe Corp. gave President George W. Bush a pair of red, white and blue patriotic wingtips when he visited their factory in Port Washington. However, the company is now saying that they will not duplicate the shoes for anyone else.

Police in Suffolk, England, have warned women to "wear nice pants" when going out for a night of drinking show they don't expose themselves if they fall down drunk in the street. Suffolk police safety campaign magazine called "Safe!" shows pictures of young women lying drunk on the ground next to messages like, "If you've got it, don't flaunt it. "
