A 14-year-old student stopped a school bus after it crashed into a milk truck leaving the bus driver unconscious.

The bus was traveling to school south of Tampa on US 41.

After hitting the truck the bus continued to move. A sheriff's deputy jumped on board to stop the bus but Mariella Hernandez was already behind the wheel and applied the break. The bus crashed again into the deputy's vehicle before coming to a final stop.

Ten students, the bus driver, and the milk truck driver were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
