After hearing a June 8 Lotto drawing had a $4. 6 million unclaimed prize, a couple decides to check their own stash of lottery tickets. Richard and Leslie Crosby went through their unchecked tickets and found the winning ticket, verifying it at 11:17 p. m. , less than an hour before the prize payout was set to expire.

A German man was saved from the jaws of a garbage crusher because the driver stopped to urinate. The 47-year-old had been drinking heavily when he fell asleep in a garbage container, police said Wednesday. It was then tipped into the hydraulic press of a garbage truck, reports Reuters

A Canadian man, 85, spends hours inside his impounded car after his vehicle was ticketed for illegal parking and then towed to a police compound.
