Man Driving With GPS Lands In Front Of Train

A computer technician driving on the directions of a rental car's Global Positioning System found himself jumping out of the way as a train came barreling through his vehicle. The driver, Bo Bai, on the orders of the GPS system, turned his vehicle right, crossing train tracks. Upon doing so, the car was caught on the tracks, as the Harlem line train was chugging towards it. Bai attempted to wave to the engineer, but failed to catch his attention.

Study Says Using Mobile Phones While Driving Creates More Traffic

Mobile phone use, while driving, slows down vehicular speed by about 2 miles per hour, according to a new study released by David Strayer, a psychology professor at the University of Utah. "The distracted driver tends to drive slower and have delayed reactions," Strayer found. "People kind of get stuck behind that person and it makes everyone pay the price of that distracted driver. "

Schumacher Takes Over Driving From Cab Driver

Fearing that he would be late for his plane ride back home, Formula One star Michael Schumacher took over the steering wheels from a cab driver and then drove the cab for about 20 miles to the airport. The cab driver whose car was 'taken over' by Schmacher, said he was overwhelmed watching the seven-time Formula One world champion, describing the incident as if he was getting lesson from a driving instructor.

Chihuahua Helps Police Catch Fugitive

The California Highway Patrol managed to catch one of four minivan thieves, thanks to a three-pound Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix named Tink. Police were responding to a call of a stolen minivan, with three juveniles and an adult as the suspects. The four fugitives then crashed the vehicle into a hillside near the home of Wendy Anderson.

Bus Driver With Kids Arrested For Soliciting Sex From Undercover Cop

A bus driver who was taking children to school was arrested by police officials for pulling his bus over and trying to solicit sex from an undercover policewoman, who was dressed as a prostitute. The 33-year old driver, whose name police refused to release, apparently was picking up special needs students when he approached the officer. The report said that he approached her twice: the first time, he had one child aboard the bus, and the second time he had four. The children were between 5 to 9-years-old.
