Drought can have significant environmental, economic and social consequences, like death of livestock, reduced crop yields, wildfires and social unrest. But it can have some benefits also, at least for a carwash businessman. In Queensland, a strip club owner is making an "honest dollar" by opening a nude car wash that uses recycled water in a drought-stricken region.

According to local media reports, the operation is an outcome of a ban imposed by the state government that bars residents from washing their own cars to avoid unnecessary wastage of precious water.

The service named, "Bubbles 'n Babes," charges customers $45 for a car wash by a topless woman and $82 for a car wash by a nude woman.

Although the service has steamed up several residents, the owner of the car wash service insists no laws were broken.

"I'm just trying to make an honest dollar - simple as that," Warren Armstrong said in an interview with City News newspaper.

Authorities also admit that the service was in compliance with state laws because all the washing took place out of the public view and the operation was running on recycled water.
