Air Rage Incidents Spike Among Drunk British Fliers

Data from the United Kingdom's Civil Aviation Authority showed that air rage incidents among British passengers have tripled over the past five years. Pilots blamed the rise on plane delays which led bored and angry passengers to take up drinking as a way to pass the time, leading to inflight fights. From January to March, the CAA recorded 601 air rage incidents, up by 32 percent from 458 cases logged for the first quarter of 2007. For the same period in 2003, only 214 such incidents were on record.

Educators Push To Lower Drinking Age To 18, Mothers Oppose The Move

About 100 college presidents from universities across the U. S. are asking legislators to lower the legal drinking age to 18 from 21. The officials organized a movement called Amethyst Initiative a year ago to push to amend current drinking age laws, which they said leads to dangerous binge drinking on college grounds.

Teen Arrested After Delivering Drug-Laced Goodie Baskets To Texas Police Departments

A teenager was arrested Tuesday for allegedly lacing cookies and candy with LSD and marijuana before delivering the treats to police officers. Christian Phillips, 18, delivered baskets of cookies and candy to about a dozen police stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, saying he was bringing the sweets on behalf of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, who he was doing mandatory community service for.

A British woman is facing a possible six years in prison after being arrested for having sex on a public beach. The Sun reported that Michelle Palmer, 30, and a man only known as Vince, were caught on the beach by a police officer having sex after the pair had spent most of the day drinking at an all-you-can eat and drink brunch that are popular amongst the British in Dubai.

Man Charged For Drunk Driving Using His Wheelchair

Police official said on Monday that a 64-year-old Australian man was charged with drunk driving while on his motorized wheelchair in a northern Australian highway. Officials said the old man fell asleep at 10 a. m. on Friday in an exit lane near the tourist city of Cairns along the Captain Cook Highway in northern Queensland.
