A 24-year-old man from Ohio, who unsuccessfully tried to rob a liquor store in Ashland, Kentucky, is now a subject of mockery for the employees of the store after he appeared wrapped in a duct tape to conceal his identity.

Kasey G. Kazee, who is now nicknamed "Duct Tape Bandit", entered Shamrock Liquors in Ashland on Friday only to come face to face with the store manager Bill Steele who too had some duct tape of his own.

However, Steele's tape was wrapped around a wooden club and it sent the robber fleeing without steeling anything expensive. According to a report by WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va, another store employee chased the man to the parking lot until police arrived.

Kazee, who denied he was bandit who robbed the store, was charged with first-degree robbery. He pleaded not guilty Monday in Boyd County District Court and was ordered held under a $250,000 cash bond.
