The Ashland police on Wednesday filed robbery charges against 24-year-old Kasey G. Kazee, also known as the "Duct Tape Bandit," for wrapping his head in duct tape to conceal his identity while robbing a liquor store on Friday in Ashland.

Bill Steele, manager of Shamrock Liquors which Kazee tried to rob, fended off the suspect by wielding a wooden club which sent him fleeing.

Store employee Craig Miller chased Kazee to the parking lot where he tackled and held him until the police arrived. A customer also helped in subduing the suspect.

Kazee, was charged with first-degree robbery, according to Ashland Police Sgt. Mark McDowell.
