Sandi Sabloff had been suffering from chronic kidney failure for 20 years. But thanks to kidney donor, 23-year old Australian Ashwyn Falkingham, a member of the Jesus Christians group, more years will be added to Sabloff's life after a successful transplant at the Paraskevaidion Surgical Transplant Centre in Nicosia, Cyprus. Sabloff and Falkingham are reported to be recovering well.

The English language has almost reached the one-million-word mark, according to an expert running a website that tracks the language's development. Paul Payack of the Global Language Monitor says that the English language's expansion was greatly aided by the addition of email and Internet lingo. These technology-based means of communication, according to Payack, have resulted in the rise of now-common phrases at a significant speed.

Television star Jeremy Paxman is waging his own crusade against Marks & Spencer citing the store's a dressing utter lack of 'support' for their underpants. The star of Newsnight star said he had personally sent an email to the store's chief, Stuart Rose regarding his concerns, and much to his delight, the store chief had invited him over for lunch to discuss his complaint.

Charles "Red" Matson received fudge from his daughter to cheer him up after a recent illness. The chocolate, bought at a bake sale in West Lafayette, was sweet and luscious. It also has an unexpected bonus - a diamond ring.

Two turkeys have been released from a possible death sentence, thanks to the unconditional pardon given by President Bush himself. The distribution of the pardon for the two fowls was done during the 60th annual pardoning ceremony of the National Thanksgiving Turkey, in which the White House saves at least one bird from the blade of the axe.
