A rare serpent eagle which managed to escape from a wildlife center at the height of the Typhoon "Milenyo" (Xangsane) on Thursday flew back in time for its scheduled feeding. Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau chief Mundita Lim said the eagle may have found the "concrete jungle" of Metro Manila too wild and decided to return to the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City.

A Witchita High School Senior has become one of the few students in the nation to ace both the ACT and the SAT standardized tests. Jakub Voboril, 17 attends Bishop Carroll High School. He told a local newspaper that he had tried to find some magical formula to study before the test but realized it didn't exist.

A $42 T-shirt worn by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new baby has sparked a wave of orders at a Denver boutique which sold the apparel. According to the AP, the T-shirt worn by Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt on the cover page of People's Magazine was sent by Belly, a shop in Denver's tony Cherry Creek district, to Jolie along with some maternity clothes in January.

The Boy Scouts of America have presented their highest honor to U. S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Rumsfeld accepted, saying, "I'm very honored to accept scouting's Silver Buffalo Award. Since its earliest days, the Boy Scouts have cultivated leadership and good citizenship, a service that has been recognized since the United States Congress first chartered the Boy Scouts back in 1916. "
