A school boy is suing New York City's Department of Education (DOE) after it refused to allow him to retake an entrance test for an elite high school. The lawsuit claims he had to walk out of the original test at Staten Island Tech because he was distracted by boisterous boys.

A group of Swedish female activists is campaigning for women to be allowed to go topless in the country's swimming pools. UPI mentions The Local reporting Tuesday the group, calling itself Bara Brost (Bare Breasts or Just Breasts), launched the protest following an incident in August involving two women who were refused to go topless at their local pool in Uppsala.

South Korea has sparked a gender row following its decision to print banknotes featuring the face of a woman who symbolizes motherhood in the country. The country's Central Bank has chosen to print the new 50,000 won note with the image of Shin Saimdang, the first woman to feature in the country's currency notes.

Contrary to common notion that WAGs are nothing but party-loving clothes animals, a recent study conducted among sports wives and girlfriends revealed they are actually serious in their studies. Durex is seeking candidates in Canada to test condoms. The company says this is one job that workers will like to take take home with them specifically straight to the bedroom. "Durex(R) wants condom users to not only have safe sex, but to also have fun," says Stephen Mare, Brand Manager, Durex Consumer Products. "What better way to make sure that our condoms are meeting the needs of Canadians than to ask Canadians first-hand? We know Canucks are up for it!"
