A 40-year-old Indian woman who claimed Mother Teresa miraculously cured her cancer, has accused Missionaries of Charity nuns of abandoning her in poverty stricken situation. The Missionaries of Charity, a congregation founded by Mother Teresa in eastern Indian, 310 miles from Kolkata in 1950, was busy preparing for the Albanian-born 10th death anniversary Wednesday.

For the fourth consecutive year, all the dogs in Ramapo, New York are invited to an exclusive pool party at Spook Rock Pool. The fourth annual Dog Days of Summer K-9 Pool Party will take place from noon to 3 p. m. on Sept. 9. The event helps to raise funds for animal care and education about dogs.

An eighth-grader suspended for drawing a picture of a gun on an assignment paper has had his sentence reduced after his parents protested the district's response. Paula Mosteller told the Associated Press she could not believe her son received a suspension for a drawing. "I just can't believe that there wasn't another way to resolve this," she said. She and her husband, Ben Mosteller, were able to get the suspension reduced from five to three days after meeting with school officials.

A Malaysian mother is ready to face new challenges following her graduation on Saturday. Cecilia Ong See Kiaw, a 56-year-old retiree is the oldest student who graduated among the 1,562 graduates at the University Malaysia Sarawak, in Malaysia According to Ong, there is no age limit if a person wants to attain and pursue higher education as long as one is persistent.
