A Malaysian mother is ready to face new challenges following her graduation on Saturday. Cecilia Ong See Kiaw, a 56-year-old retiree is the oldest student who graduated among the 1,562 graduates at the University Malaysia Sarawak, in Malaysia According to Ong, there is no age limit if a person wants to attain and pursue higher education as long as one is persistent.

The military has already identified the killers of 14 Marines ambushed by Islamic secessionists in southern Philippines last July 10. But it is still in the dark as to whom among the three wives of one of the Marine casualties will get a scholarship intended for children of fallen soldiers. Local newspapers reported that Corporal Russel Panaga, who was among those beheaded by members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, left three wives, two of whom he sired three children.

A Catholic school in Australia denied rights of admission to a 5-year-old Australian boy because his last name is Hell. St. Peter Apostle School in Hoppers Crossing, Australia, initially refused to accept Alex Hell's son Max Hell, but later accepted him after some consideration.

In a bid to give a hard fight to obesity and other related problems at the school level, authorities in China have come up with a new resolution which will mandate dance classes to all students in primary and secondary schools. Under the program, experts with the Ministry of Education have designed seven sets of group dances, with each dance lasting 4-5 minutes. The dances will be incorporated in class breaks, or in extra-curricular activities, the China Daily reports.

Advocates of breast-feeding in the Philippines will try anew to break their own record set last year, by organizing the biggest simultaneous breast-feeding event on Wednesday. The Children for Breast-feeding, with its partner, Nurturers of the Earth, has invited mothers to participate in a simultaneous breast-feeding program in at least 40,000 day-care centers all over the Philippines.
