Not about to run out of ideas, beverage company Jones Soda Co. is giving a new twist to ham this Christmas season - it's in liquid form. The Seattle-based firm launches Sunday is holiday-themed limited-edition flavored soda packs and ham-flavor soda is included in the outrageous roster this year.

Councilman James S. Oddo of Staten Island, New York has proposed a plan to put pigeons on contraceptives, to counter the growing number of the pigeon population at the Island terminals. The contraceptive will be seen as a solution for the growing concern regarding pigeon droppings, and maggots falling from ceiling, after feeding on pigeon feces.

Eggs in the Philippines might be sold by the kilogram instead of being sold per egg because of an increase in poultry feed prices. The United Broilers Association in the Philippines on Sunday forwarded the suggestion to sell chicken eggs on a per kilogram basis because of the increase in corn, the main ingredient in poultry feeds.

A 25-year-old British women in Austria has given birth to a set of identical triplets, something that only happens in one out of 200 million births. Mae Christina Astley gave birth to three girls she called Amy, Kim and Zoe by Caesarean in western Austria Monday.

Girl Scouts from three Saxonburg-area troops have reportedly helped a Cahill family to hang nearly 5,000 real painted eggs on a tree outside her home on Easter. Margaret Cahill, who hails from Saxonburg, has decorated their yard using real eggs for 50 years. According to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, whenever she uses an egg for eating she carefully pokes a 1/4" hole in the shell, extracts the interior and saves the shell.
