Authorities say a Japanese man confessed to killing two people he met on a suicide website and who he believed shared his desire to die. Hiroshi Maeue, 36, an employee at a staffing agency, was arrested Friday on suspicion of suffocating Michiko Nagamoto, 25, in February.

A handful of women on Northwestern University's national championship women's lacrosse team have found themselves in the middle of a national fashion don't. A photo taken of the NCAA champs revealed four of the nine women in the front row wore flip-flop sandals along with their appropriate dress and skirt attire.

Southeastern Virginia firefighters have collected more than 1,300 movie DVDs in an effort to provide soldiers in Iraq some recreational relief. Chesapeake firefighter Mark Snyder organized the drive after his brother, an Army chaplain, exchanged an e-mail mentioning the idea of a morale boost amongst GI's fighting the War in Iraq.

The website proclaims itself to be dedicated to "the movement to liberate Katie, a young, gifted, actress held captive by forces we may never understand. "
