Some of the earliest and most important paintings of the Western Desert art movement were stolen from the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory on Tuesday. Seven pieces of aboriginal paintings, valued at more than $460,000, were recovered hours later after the thief apparently changed his mind and dumped them in a park, police said.

Days after obtaining an Illinois-shaped cornflake from an Internet auction, a man announced that he will be taking the prized item on the road to be part of his traveling road show. American Idol isn't the only "Idol" making international news. In Australia, siblings competing for the "Idol" spot are becoming rather common. This year, Jessica Mauboy, the 2006 Australian Idol Runner-up, may see older sister Catharine on the competition stage in front of Ian "Dicko" Dickson, Marcia Hines, Mark Holden, and Kyle Sandilands vying for the 2007 title. Lavina Williams, sister of 2005 runner-up Emily Williams, made it to the 2006 finals along with Chris Murphy, who is 2004 contestant Courtney's brother.

Prosecutors say a teenager will be charged with misdemeanor littering after the bra she hung on a car antenna flew off and led to a highway accident. Emily Davis, 17, of Bowling Green told investigators she took her bra off while her friend, also 17, was driving on Interstate 75. A vehicle following the car crashed and rolled several times after swerving to avoid the bra.

A 13-year-old girl has beaten three grown men by eating 26 corn cobs in 20 minutes and became this year's Britain's corn on the cob eating champion. But the girl said she will definitely not defend her title next year. According to the Mirror, Emily Cotterill, from Rainhill, Merseyside in England, replaced her father in the contest at the last minute because her daddy backed out of the competition.
