A song by Sean Paul titled "Temperature," triggers a woman to seizure. Stacey Gayle said that the seizures occur regardless of the volume that the song is played. Gayle noticed the connection between her seizures and the music at a cookout where the song was being played, "then it happened at a restaurant," she said.

Long Island high school principal Nicholas Restivo recently banned all Halloween costumes at the school, due to three senior girls who showed up at the school controversially dressed as the scantily-clad comic book hero, Captain Underpants. The girls were described to have been wearing beige-colored leotards and nude stockings, under white briefs, and red capes, as reported by the Associated Press. The report said that their choice of costume made them look naked.

A new research study investigating the interpretation of facial expressions by individuals shows how cultural boundaries between them affects their psychology. Researchers found that while Americans tend to judge emotional status of a person by looking at the mouth, Japanese are likely to do so by looking into the eyes. The research team led by Masaki Yuki, a behavioral scientist at Hokkaido University in Japan, confirmed the hypothesis using two studies - one using emoticons and one using manipulated photographs of real people.
