As millions of soccer fans are watching the World Cup live from their homes around the world, English fans are drinking the host country of Germany dry behind the scenes in many of the country's pubs and bars.

Reports indicate that breweries are concerned they might not be able to meet the demand for beer by the time of the final game of the tournament.

Ananova reports that in Nuremberg so far, 1.2 million pints of beer have were consumed during the England versus Trinidad and Tobago match.

In the city of Stuttgart, 900,000 pints were also consumed when England played against Ecuador, while in Cologne - where England drew with Sweden - the local pubs ran of barrels of beer.

England next take on Portugal Saturday in Gelsenkirchen - where pub owners are already stocking up well ahead of the game.
