An Australian climber left for dead spent a night on Mt. Everest and lived to tell about it.
Lincoln Hall, 50 was left by an expedition team after he was reported dead from head trauma, according to reports. But another team found him the next day near the peak with frost bite and altitude sickness.
Hall was in a doctor's care at North Col Camp at 7,000 meters. According to a Mountaineering website, the 10 person rescue team, doctor Andrey Selivanov and Hall descended from the mountain Saturday. Hall's condition was reported as seriously critical last night but he was able to walk today.
The web site reported Hall was able to call his wife, Barbara today and told her he has severe frost bite in his fingers. Her reply: "she would love him all the same if he would loose all his fingers."
Fifteen people have died on the mountain this year. Just last week British climber David Sharp died during his decent from the mountain. More than 80 expeditions are slated this season, the website reported.
