Milla Jovovich collects weapons. The model-and-actress - who has a 21-month-old daughter Ever Gabo with her partner, director Paul W.S. Anderson - says she was never interested in traditional childhood toys and has carried her passion for martial arts and combat into her adult life. She said: "I have so many weapons at home. It's not like I sit at home twirling knives, but I've always been into handling weapons. As a kid I liked ninja warriors, not dolls. I have some kukris. They are one-handed knives and a bit like machetes, very vicious instruments with a curved blade. They are used for hacking and I love them because they are so versatile. You can really get into the meat of an animal, slice cucumbers and kill zombies - all in one day."
'Evil Spirits' Close School In Central Philippines
A public high school in Oriental Mindoro in central Philippines had been suspended since August 8 after an "evil spirit" haunts the school ground and "possessed" students since. Henry Tungol, principal of the Pedro Panaligan Memorial National High School said students have shown signs of "seizures, shortness of breath while some were shouting and writhing in pain. The events have caused hysteria inside the campus.
Middle School Teacher Fired For "Wizardry"
A local substitute teacher was terminated from his post here after being accused of performing "wizardry." According to Jim Piculas, a substitute teacher at the Rushe Middle School in Pasco County, he was removed from his post last January, with officials bearing their accusations on a disappearing-toothpick act that he performed for his students a week before.

Pope Benedict XVI publicly baptized on Monday an Egyptian-born Muslim journalist, known for his renunciation of Islamic beliefs. The traditional Easter vigil service held on Monday at St. Peter's Basilica, marked the beginning of 55-year-old Magdi Allam's life as a Roman Catholic, after he admitted that he has been a non-practicing Muslim all his adult life. Taking "Christian" for his middle name, Allam, a deputy director for the Italian newspaper, Corriere della Sera, wrote in an article, "I had to do this. Beyond extremists and Islamist terrorism at the global level, the root of evil is inherent in a physiologically violent and historically conflictual Islam."
Poll Deems 'Light Saber' Ultimate Movie Weapon
A poll commissioned by 20th Century Fox revealed the Star Wars weapon, the Light saber, is considered the best movie weapon in movie history. The weapon beat out other historic weapons made memorable in several movies, such as the crossbow from Robin Hood, the gold gun from James Bond: The Man With The Golden Gun, and the legendary machine gun used by Tony Montana in the classic gangster flick, Scarface.
