The incident happened in the British town of Essex. Delaney, who was bouncer at the County Hotel in Woodford, was asked to remove Price and his friend after they were denied access to the party for dressing inappropriately.

He continued, "Paul Price was no threat to you or anyone else."

Goldstone went on to tell Delaney, "You behaved like a bully." Adding that, "When you knew that both of them were injured - at least one seriously - you reacted like a coward."

According prosecutor Alan Suckling, Price confronted the bouncer saying, "Why did you do that?" He replied with a, "powerful blow to the face, lifting him off his feet and striking the ground with a crack."
