Tony Blair was brought back to reality Wednesday when there was no car or bodyguards to meet his train.
The former British Prime Minister and his wife Cherie Booth were left waiting for several minutes at Darlington station after his train from King's Cross, London, arrived 40 minutes late.
It was a far cry from the tight travel plans and strict security measures Blair has been used to for a decade, reports The Sun.
The couple was eventually driven to their home in Sedgefield with a police escort.
