Armed Bank Robbers Crash Forklift To Steal $6.3 Million In Denmark

Armed men in masks stole an estimated $6. 3 million USD (30 million DKK) in what authorities say is the second largest bank heist in Danish history. Police say six robbers forcibly entered a cash depot in Glostrup, a suburban area in Copenhagen, using a forklift to smash through the building's wall. According to the International Herald Tribune, the robbers were armed with assault rifles and submachine guns. A number of the depot's employees were in the building when the incident took place, but no one was injured.

Report: South Korean May Not Have Died From Exploding Phone

New evidence indicates a 33-year-old South Korean man may not have died due to an exploding cell phone battery. The man's wounds were "too dispersed to be caused by a cell phone explosion," a coroner told a South Korean news service. Although preliminary, autopsy results seemed to deflect accusations an LG Electronics cell phone exploded in the shirt pocket of the quarry worker. Wednesday, police and medical authorities said fatal internal wounds were caused by the phone's exploding battery.

Illegal Fireworks Shop Explodes In China; 3 Dead, 13 Injured

An explosion at an allegedly illegal fireworks workshop in southern Guangxi Zhuang, China has claimed three lives and critically injured 13 others. The incident occurred on Saturday while workers were rushing to keep up with the increasing demand for fireworks in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. The fatalities included the mother of the shop owner, while those injured were all local villagers employed in the factory.

Teenager Faces 25 Years In Prison For Lighting Firecracker In Mall

A 19-year-old Kalona teenager faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of throwing a firecracker inside a Coralville mall in Iowa on April 16th this year. Police charged Travis Grout with first-degree arson, public intoxication and interference with official acts for an incident at Coral Ridge Mall after a witness saw him lighting a three-inch long firecracker.
