A man in Pakistan steals a railway locomotive and tries to ram it into a passenger train in an apparent suicide attack. A man identified as Madan Lal allegedly stole the engine from a marshaling yard outside Karachi.

A man who lost his wallet during a late-night swim in the ocean after a night of drinking was sure it was gone for good, but a bit later he got a suprising phone call telling him it had been turned in. He was even more suprised when he learned how it had been recovered - a diver had found a lobster with the wallet clenched between its claws. After the diver spotted the lobster, he picked it up and pried the wallet from its pincers. Finding a business card inside, the diver took the wallet to the swimmer's hair salon and handed it over to the salon's employees.

A Virginia based travel agency is offering a $15 million space walk outside the Russian segments of the orbiting international space station. Space Adventures Ltd. , the company which first arranged for the first space trip for a tourist, made the offer on Friday. The agency said the walk will include an observation of the orbit of the Earth. The fee is in addition to the $20 million Space Adventures would charge for a 10-day round trip to the space trip.

A Japanese man who was left behind in land that was given to the Soviet Union following World War II, has returned to his homeland. Yoshiteru Nakagawa, now 79 years old, was returned to Japan for the first time in 67 years.
